The Steering Group Meeting of 19 April 2012
announced that they now have two qualified rowing coaches within the club and that both these coaches are in attendance at the Saturday morning “Give it a go Rowing Sessions.   Both coaches qualified after attending a comprehensive 4 day training course and assessment session held at the Scottish Coastal Rowing Association H. Q.
If any new members wish to come along on a Saturday they will be in
safe hands as our rowing crew are qualified V H F licence holders and first aiders – so why not come along and give it a go.
We are about to start building our second boat and intend to have it finished and ready to launch around mid August this year.
Carrick Acadamy have compleated their boat and the launch takes place at Maidens on Sunday 20 May at 1pm.  The Troon boat will be in attendance.
Future events –  a regatta is being held in Northern Ireland on 20 June
Troon Lifeboat day will be on 21July and our boat will be in attendance.
The Girvan boat will not be completed this year but South Ayrshire Council intend to hold a water based activity at Girvan on 21 October this year.
Ullapool will be hosting a WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION next year
so get your skates on and become involved now.
With all these future events coming up Troon Coastal Rowing development looks to be very promising and we would like thank  South Ayrshire Council and Royal Bank of Scotland for awarding Troon Coastal Rowing the Community Development Grants enabling the Club to be formed.
