Royal West 150th Anniversary 11th Â June

Members are encouraged to join us in a trip up the coast to join in the celebrations of this clubs 150 th anniversary, we are not taking our skiff but there will be opportunity to row in a variety of Royal West’s fine crafts, this club has built aÂ wonderfulÂ collection of boats over its long history and well worth the trip up the coast to view and row some of these,as ever topÂ hospitality has become a standard from the hosts.Rowing activities expected to start around 2.00pm

Glasgow Taxi day trip to Troon Wednesday 15 July

This year the club intends to have a presence in support of this wonderful event,subject as ever to weather there may be a skiff on show and possibly one in the water in a demonstration of rowing.

Wellington School SAMH charity swim June 19 Lady Isle to Ayr

A brave charity swim by Wellington School swimmer Patrick Smith raising funds and awareness for Scottish Association of Mental Health, the swim will be from Lady Isle to Ayr , we are intending accompanying this at a safe distance,

Patrick writes

Wellington School’s Sixth Year Charity this year is SAMH which stands for Scottish Association for Mental Health. They aim to provide all the help necessary for people struggling with mental illness. To help raise money for them, I have decided to swim from Lady Isle to the beach of Ayr on Sunday 19th June. I’m very grateful to be looked after on the journey by members of the Ayr Sea Cadets and Troon Rowing Club.
